National Park Veluwezoom

Ellecom, a village between Arnhem and Zutphen, is situated at the National Park Veluwezoom. This Park is 48 km2 of unspoilt nature where you can enjoy the large forests and heaths to your heart’s content - an ideal place for walking and cycling. Wild boars and deer call this their home as do the impressive Scottish Highland cattle and Icelandic horses. Chances are you will encounter game along the way. Starting point for a great many walking and cycle routes, the new Posbank park & ride is definitely worth a visit too.

National Park Hoge Veluwe

The most nearby entrance of National Park Hoge Veluwe is at a 30 minutes drive from our Bed and Breakfast. Together with the Kröller Müller Museum and the sculpture garden it offers a unique combination of nature, art and architecture.

Doesburg, Bronkhorst, Zutphen

Within a short distance are the towns of Doesburg with its historical centre and Bronckhorst which has been restored in its old glory. Doesburg as well as Zutphen located at the IJsselriver are old medieval Hanzestad-cities. Hanzestad-cities were a group of cities from Germany, The Netherlands and Poland connected with each other through several rivers. In 16th and 17th century these cities were centerpoints of trade.

Arnhem

Arnhem is the capital city of the province of Gelderland in East Netherlands. The town boasts a wide and varied range of museums – including ones on art, water, wine and history - as well as major attractions such as Burgers’ Zoo, the Dutch Open-air Museum and the Airborne Museum. Arnhem has been one of the 10 most attractive shopping areas in the Netherlands for years, boasting a range of large chain stores and little clothes shops.
